Dog coats for dachshunds: custom-fit vs. off-the-peg?
Here at Barkmatic we don’t believe in standardised sizes for dachshund coats, because there aren’t really standardised sizes for dachshunds themselves outside the Kennel Club imagination. We know that there are loads of stylish, well-made coats available online for dachshunds, but we’ve found that none of them would fit the measurements of Sunny, our standard black and tan three year old teckel. What started as a shopping quest for our own dog is now the Barkmatic brand, and our commitment to custom-fit as the solution for dachshund outdoor clothing.

Dachshund mudlarking on the River Thames foreshore
A few weeks ago we checked the Thames tide tables, got up very early, and jumped on the Overground train to Rotherhithe station. We were there for a photoshoot on the Thames foreshore at low tide, photographing our newest dog coat, the Superstretch, an easy-on easy-off dachshund base layer. Almost as exciting for us was the chance to go mudlarking on the muddy foreshore. Read on to find out more about this historic part of London and our sausage adventure.
